The Basic Wilderness Survival Course (BWSC) class equips you with outdoor self-reliance skills that can be utilized in various environments, especially in the tropics. From simple fire building to in-depth training in wilderness survival. Enrolling to such courses is your source for outdoor self-sustainability. There is a cadre of women and men who are enthusiastic about wilderness survival. On the other hand, there are those who do not find it necessary to acquire survival skills. Such people live in a comfort zone and probably never think that these skills can come in handy specially in the outdoors.
Bushcraft is the art of using the resources provided by mother nature to survive and thrive in the great outdoors. It combines the knowledge of how to best use the plants and animals at your disposal with some basic bushcraft tools to make outdoor living easier and more efficient.
In learning bushcraft skills we benefit in many ways including:
1. Becoming more self reliant.
2. Increasing our confidence.
3. Nurturing our survival skills.
4. Becoming better prepared to face unforeseen problems.

I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible experience during the three-day survival course trip. The instructors expertise, guidance, unwavering support and company throughout the journey made it truly unforgettable.
Moreover, the camaraderie fostered among the group created a sense of unity and resilience that I’ll carry with me forever. The lessons learned extend far beyond the wilderness; they are lessons of adaptability, resourcefulness, and strength in the face of adversity.
I am truly grateful for the impeccable wisdom and skillset enlightened to us by the instructors, and my colleagues. Thank you for igniting a passion for nature and survival within me and for instilling the confidence to tackle any obstacle that comes my way. I look forward to applying the skills and mindset I’ve gained in future adventures.
Even better, after dining from flambéed taklong, which we gruelingly foraged for, and quenching on natural spring water; I am happy to say I remained diarrhea-free 😀
My sincerest appreciation

The Basic Wilderness Survival Course (BWSC) was a truly fun, enjoyable, and unforgettable 3 days deep in the forest—an incredible way to experience nature at its best and toughest scenarios. The survival simulations were challenging but exciting, and I thoroughly enjoyed every part of it. Learning skills like knife knowledge, tool making(carving a spoon from bamboo!), foraging for food(we ate tree snails numnums), plant identification, and trail tracking were invaluable and practical.
Despite the full 3 days of rain and cold, it was an appreciated part of the course because it pushed us to adapt our mindset and focus on being self-sustaining. The instructors and organizers were professional, highly knowledgeable, approachable, and friendly—yet casual enough to make it feel like we were all buddies learning together.
One of the most unforgettable parts was learning survival fire-making techniques with limited resources—it was tough, but it built stamina, resilience, and a stronger mindset.
Overall, this course is an incredible experience for anyone interested in wilderness survival. It’s not just about learning skills, but also about building character, confidence, and appreciation for nature. Highly recommended!

This course also made me realize the importance of having an EDC (Everyday Carry) kit—essentials I can keep with me daily to handle various situations, from emergencies to everyday tasks. I’m now on the road to completing my own EDC, thanks to this eye-opening experience and knowledge shared from the instructors.
